Critical time is lost in an emergency when your address does not have a visible number on the mailbox or house. The number needs to be in plain site without any obstructions. The Fire Department, Police Department or EMS wants to find your house quickly.

· House numbers should be at least 4 inches tall and reflective.

· Make sure plants, foliage or any other obstruction do not block your house number.

· You can affix house numbers to your mailbox or next to your front door.

· House numbers on your mailbox should be displayed on both sides.
